Principal Investigator:
Dr. Sophia George, PhD is an Associate Professor appointment in the Division of Gynecological Oncology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a full member of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Purpose:
To focus on the early events of breast and ovarian cancer. The Lab studies hereditary mutations—such as the BRCA mutation—in diverse populations to understand how and why certain populations are predisposed to developing breast and ovarian cancer.
